Students doing satisfactory work usually qualify for admission to the College after they have completed two semesters of full-time work in pre-engineering and meet the following requirements:
- UNO continuing and re-entry students:
12 credits* earned with a 3.0 GPA** or
18 credits* earned with a 2.5 GPA** or
24 credits* earned with a 2.2 GPA**
* Excluding credit earned in remedial courses.
** On both UNO and all work attempted.
The above hours include credits earned through Advanced Placement Examinations.
- New transfer students from colleges and unversities other than UNO:
24 credits with a 2.5 GPA overall
(Students who have been enrolled at UNO as well as at other universities should read about transfers for further information.)
- The student must have completed appropriate courses in algebra and trigonometry or equivalent advanced placement to qualify for registration in a first course in calculus.
- Students who are not admitted to the College of Engineering are not eligible to enroll in engineering classes at or above the 3000 level.
